Morse Clinics

Morse Clinics was founded on the unwavering belief that every individual deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based care in their journey toward recovery. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to providing high-quality treatment for opioid use disorder, fostering hope, and building healthier communities.

Morse Clinic was founded by Dr. Eric Morse, an Addiction Psychiatrist with specialized training in the use of Methadone and Buprenorphine to treat opioid addiction, which he completed during his fellowship at the University of Maryland Addiction Program in Baltimore (2002–2003). Beyond managing opioid treatment programs, Dr. Morse collaborates with patients to address mental health challenges and optimize their performance in sports and the workplace through Carolina Performance.

Since 2003, Dr. Morse has mentored physicians in the effective treatment of opioid addiction as a PCSS-B mentor with SAMHSA and ASAM. He has also served as a consultant to the North Carolina State Opiate Treatment Authority, collaborating with the Governor’s Institute to advance addiction treatment efforts.

Morse Clinic opened its first location in Clayton in March 2010, offering compassionate care and Medication-Assisted Treatment to individuals seeking recovery. In 2012, the clinic expanded to Henderson, North Carolina, and in 2015, it began serving the Siler City community.

For over a decade, Morse Clinic has been dedicated to helping thousands of patients across North Carolina reclaim their lives and build a brighter future in recovery.

Mission: At Morse Clinics, we believe in empowering patients through compassionate care, education, and community support. Our team is driven by the mission to create lasting change in the lives of those we serve. As we continue to grow, our focus remains on delivering exceptional care while advocating for the importance of evidence-based treatment in addressing the opioid crisis. Today, Morse Clinics stands as a beacon of hope for individuals and families seeking recovery, always guided by our core values of compassion, integrity, and innovation.

Current Mental Health Initiative: The Morse Clinics is operating the first mobile clinic in North Carolina and is a proud member of the Unshame NC initiative to bring high-quality opioid treatment services to rural areas and other hard-to-serve places. The Morse clinic is also developing medication units to serve this same goal and expand access to opioid treatment services. The Morse Clinics have been actively involved in our respective communities to serve all North Carolinians.

Easterseals PORT Health

Easterseals PORT Health is one of 70 affiliates of the national Easterseals organization. We are also one of 55 affiliates of the national United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) organization, one of the largest health nonprofits in the country dedicated to individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. After merging with Easterseals Virginia in 2010, our organization had more than 75 years collective experience of being a powerful force for our neighbors in North Carolina and Virginia who have disabilities. In January 2023, we acquired PORT Health and expanded our combined continuum of services to include substance use treatment and pharmacy services. As a result, people across North Carolina and Virginia now benefit from our broader range of comprehensive services for collaborative, whole person care.

Mission: Easterseals PORT Health helps people with disabilities, mental health and/or substance use challenges, their families, and our employees embrace their potential, access opportunities, build resilience and thrive.

Current Mental Health Initiative: Our current initiatives are focused on strengthening our continuum of care and expanding access to evidence-based services that support whole-person recovery. We are expanding Child First to reach more families with intensive, early childhood support; scaling High Fidelity Wraparound to ensure youth with complex needs have coordinated, family-driven care; and growing our IPS-Supported Employment program so more individuals can access meaningful employment as a key part of their recovery. Together, these initiatives reinforce our commitment to person-centered, high-quality services across the lifespan.
